Abby & Jordynβs Oceanside Engagment Portraits
If iβve said it once, iβve said it a zillion times at this pointβI donβt want to be a stranger walking in to anyones wedding.
Itβs not my jam. But let me tell you, one of my favorite times of years is meeting all my future couples. I love getting to know them a little bit and breaking the ice before I show up on one of the most important days of their lives with a camera and start fluffing out dresses and pinning boutonnieres.
βHi, iβm Amanda- nice to meet you. let me, a stranger, just fix your wedding dress 900 timesβ- things no amanda wants to say
I want people to meet me and see how I work. I want everyone to get the weirdness out and start to get comfortable moving and interacting like I am not even there to begin with. The goal for my engagement sessions, whether youβve booked your wedding with me or not, is to capture your love in the most authentic way we can. I am so excited to share Abby & Jordynβs engagement portrait session as the whole evening was so gorgeous and if you know these two they are the flipping bees knees. Beginning to end- we definitely captured their love.
Here are my hot takes for having the best engagement session ever.
Choose a spot that means something to you both
And if you canβt get to that specific spot, because itβs somewhere like here, first ask because that is ALSO MY HAPPY PLACE, but if we canβt hop on a 13 hour flight tomorrow, letβs try to get as close as possible.
feel free to switch up those outfits!
You donβt need to do a full wardrobe change, but having an evening outfit then an outfit to watch the sun go down gives you a nice mix and then a fun fancier outfit to go out to dinner afterwards. Because- who are we kidding? A yummy meal (and a cocktail or two) to celebrate the adventure coming in the next few months is also a must.
