A Club at New Seabury Wedding Day

An iconic venue, an Iconic day.

When Kate and I first connected about her wedding day I vividly remember her mentioning that not only did they both have big families, but there were a ton of nieces and nephews that were going to be involved, and she knew it would be chaotic but it was incredibly important for them both. Lot’s of kids, big big families, and one of the nicest weekends we saw this summer on Cape Cod. Chaotic but kind of iconic. I am so happy to give you a glimpse inside of this absolutely beautiful summer wedding at The Club at New Seabury. The day was full of family and laughter. Big ole’ bridal parties, kids in the most adorable custom outfits to match their adult counterparts. The home where Kate got ready was giving major Father of the Bride meets the Cape vibes, with so many family portraits and nods to the beautiful Oysterville location. If you were to google “Cape Cod Home” this is everything you would expect to find. Subtle (and some not so subtle) nods to the sea, a smattering of beautiful endless summer Hydrangeas and their gorgeous purple blooms, and so many family photos and framed prints. Loved in, lived in. I feel like the industry pumps out that clean all white minimalist aesthetic, beige on white on bland. Give me a well lived in home with pops of every color any day over a blank space. I wish I could share every single picture from the getting ready album, because they all just feel like home and excitement and anticipation. A beautiful build up full of champagne toasts, kids actually eating toast, everyone getting ready in a flurry of chaos and pre wedding magic.

I love it.

Kate & Nate (ugh the cutest) were married at Kate’s family church, Our Lady of The Assumption in Oysterville, MA- a beautiful and very photographer friendly church right up the road from their venue. The ceremony was both adorable and heartfelt- with lots of happy tears, children being bored, and a bagpipe exit. I only got slightly lost trying to get to the venue (looking at you New Seabury for some better signs thanks so much, ha.) But when we arrived it was go freaking time. The wonderful team at New Seabury put together 19 (yes you read that right) golf carts to sweep us down to the ocean- which we all shockingly arrived in one piece. And we got after it. I will tell you- having a big bridal party bring the excitement and the energy makes my photographer life so easy. Encourage your bridal teammates to have freaking FUN! The more fun and laughter and willingness to get excited for your friends the better the photos are! I love these group photos so much because they are FULLLLL of excitement and chaos and life. Can we line everyone up and have them smile? You bet. But the photos on my walls of my friends at my own wedding are all of us smushed together laughing at who knows what.

This is a big chunk of photos and it is only the tip of the iceberg of their day. Congratulations Kate & Nate on your quite perfect Cape Cod family wedding day.
