Hi! I am Amanda Merrifield, the person behind the lens at A Little Heart Photography. I am a lifestyle family and wedding photographer based north of Boston specializing in vibrant portraits full of love and movement. My vibe is super laid back, painfully sarcastic, and will happily make a total ass of myself to get you to relax or your kids to smile.
I am a proud Latina business owner, and mom of two little ones, and fur mom to a giant floppy golden fur monster. When I am not out taking portraits of all you lovely humans, I am most definitely listening to music and cooking my way through Half Baked Harvests catalog of recipes with a tall glass of wine.

Amanda is an absolute dream to work with! We used her for our maternity photoshoot and then every milestone since our son arrived. She makes everyone feel so comfortable and even gets our son to warm up to her and smile. You would never know that our son was crying and fussy during a photoshoot.

Not only does she take great photos, but she's so easy to work with, super responsive, and the ultimate professional during the whole process. We love that she has creative ideas for shoot locations as well as outfit consultations to make sure that your photos come out just the way you envisioned them.

From our initial, introductory call with Amanda we knew the chemistry was there. Not only was she the only photographer who wanted to video chat with us to make sure we were on the same page and had the same vision, but her engagement shoot was included in our wedding package to make sure we were all comfortable with each other. She knew what she was doing, never rushed us, encouraged us to a pick a a spot that was special to us, was flexible with timing, and made the day feel so spontaneous, special, and fun.

Her style is also unlike any other - very natural and we don’t feel our photos are “washed out”. Her vision is incredible and we were stunned with the photos she was able to share the DAY after our shoot. Her pictures were so good, we decided to forgo a videographer because we know she’ll capture our day perfectly.

When she says she takes a limited number of weddings so she can give the couple the attention they need, she isn’t lying. 10/10 - look no further for a photographer if you want to feel special, be in a comfortable environment, work with someone you can trust AND get incredible pictures.

We can’t wait to see her again for our wedding this fall (and for all future life events :).
