Welcome! I’m Amanda- owner of A Little Heart Photography. I am a (north of) Boston based wedding and lifestyle photographer specializing in portraits full of color, love, and life. Your love story…

is your own unique experience as a couple. It is all encompassing and the most exciting time in anyones life. Finding each other and choosing each other begins the best adventure. Capturing a day where everyone you hold near and dear to you in one room is an incredible privilege. My couples value portraits full of love and emotion and vibrant true to life colors. They want the little in-between moments captured. The smiles and hugs exchanged with loved ones, the crazy uncle ripping it up on the dance floor, and being surrounded by all of the people you adore. My job as a wedding photographer is to not only capture the big moments, but all of those little moments happening around you on your wedding day. We work together to make you feel comfortable in front of my lens so when your day is here we are as relaxed as possible and we capture portraits that feel vibrant and full of life.

My Story

is full of love and adventure. I have been holding a camera since I was a wee little person. My childhood closet is stashed with thousands of photos that I have taken through the years. I love art in all forms, but there is just something about a portrait that makes my heart so happy. I am based out of Merrimac, MA- a tiny little blip of a town about 40 minutes north of Boston where I live with my husband, two little babes, and a giant goofy golden named Smalls. My husband and I met at work- a total Jim and Pam love story (iykyk) that culminated with a move to Maui when we finally got together. The love and support of my family drives me and I think that is deeply reflected in all of my work.

LET’S TALK INVESTMENT

The pricing below is a starting point, and yes, many people book 7 and 9 hour (and a few rare 12 hour) wedding days. All of my wedding packages include a gallery of hand edited high resolution digital images presented to you in an online gallery that is easy to share with friends and family. Images are formatted twice, once for social media sharing and once in larger files to print. Images are not watermarked and a print release is included with your contract.

Each package includes a complementary engagement portrait session. Why, you may wonder? Because I have never wanted to show up to someone’s wedding a complete stranger. The thought of that gives me the ick. I want us to get to know each other before your wedding day. I want you to make all the weird faces and loosen up behind my lens so when your wedding day arrives photography will be the last thing you worry about.

6 Hours

  • Intimate weddings where everything is under one roof and you are expecting to see your partner for the first time coming down the aisle. Six hour wedding coverage typically starts two hours before your ceremony and concludes about an hour into your party.

8 Hours

  • By far the most popular time frame. Plenty of time for getting ready with your friends, first looks before the ceremony, and a nice chunk of time partying!

10 hours

  • Your big ole’ ripper of a wedding. 300 people? Wardrobe changes? Long drives? In ten hours you will see me bright and early and I will be there for your send off at the end of the night!

FAQ’s

and i mean it- these are asked all the time!

  • For events over 2 hours away, a one night hotel stay is required. Anything in the 4-5 hour range entails a two night stay.

  • Absolutely yes I do! There is a travel fee included in this pricing but also a deep discount to any of my bucket list locations!

  • Absolutely! 8 is probably the most popular time block but I book many 7, 9, and a few 12 hour wedding days per year.

  • Absolutely yes! I have a group of wonderful photographers who I regularly work with. Second shooters can be added to any package at the rate of $100 per hour with a six hour minimum for booking. A second shooter for six hours is included in every 10+ hour package.

  • Yes, of course! Your portraits include a print release, meaning you can print your photos anywhere you’d choose. Your gallery will be connected to my print company that I personally use, but you are under no obligation to use it! Just promise me you won’t take them to CVS! Ha.

  • While I would never force anyone to take engagement portraits, they are a great way to break the ice and get to know each other before your wedding date. In addition, these sessions are complementary and hold no monetary value.

  • Absofreakinglutely I do! Not only do I post tons of fun sneaks after your wedding, but I pop them into a gallery for you to download a week after your big day.

  • Gallery delivery is typically within 90 days after your wedding date, not including any vacation (or sick) time that might pop up! I hand edit each portrait and genuinely take my time making sure your gallery is absolutely perfect.

We had planned for wedding portraits with the ocean as a backdrop and then a boat entrance to our reception. We had to hard pivot when we pulled up to the ocean and it was basically a hurricane.
