Newburyport Engagement Pictures

Featuring a location that is so random and secluded that you will have to pry the address out of my cold dead hands.

Idk guys. The amount of times people have asked me about where this location is is astonishing. Strangers, friends (which I'm not a total monster my photographer friends know) more strangers, my momâ€Ļ The thing is- the area is kind of a hot mess. I love a good hot mess location that people walk into and think- the actual f Amanda. Where are we and are the scary swamp people going to come steal us and take us away? Because it’s not even about the location per se. It’s about the vibe you bring to it. It’s about the time of year. It’s about the flowers that are in bloom, the amount of bugs we have to run away from, and trusting the process.

We are always always trusting the process.

One of my favorite things I have done this year, aside from meeting all of you loves, is put together some solid prep guides. Families, babies, engagements- I want everyone to go into their portrait sessions with an idea of what to expect. Which, I love. And everyone else so far- also loves. From wardrobe ideas to match your location, to throwing on a playlist to get you in the headspace to maybe kiss ever so slightly more than one would on a random Tuesday night in Juneâ€Ļ having some idea on what to expect is always so helpful. So- a little guidance for everyone this year, hooray.

Laura and Adam, these two tall drinks of water, absolutely slayed these. They came in excited and ready to roll with it, and their amazing selves really shined through in all of these portraits. We only got ever so slightly soaked in the water—- I still need to post the BTS reel of a rogue wave absolutely hosing us all haha. We found a lot of magic at one of my favorite spots. No doubt their wedding is going to be one of my faves next year.

Hooray for blogging!
